WOYWW #160

Hello and welcome to another WOYWW!!  It is where we get to "peek" at everyone's creative spaces.  Visit the awesome Julia to see everyone and get the full scoop on this great party!

Here  is my desk.  I ordered some stuff last week and it came today.  I got some Pink Paislee goodies, some Websters Pages paper and a bunch of Melissa Frances stuff.  All waiting for me to jump in!!

I am keeping this short because the linky is up and I will be able to join in before tomorrow for the first time!!

DO YOU SMASH???

The summer is here ( in the US), the kids are home(for some of us), vacations are being planned (maybe), whatever you are doing, you want to remember it right??

And "Smash" journals are all the rage right now, they are made by K&Co. and you can find them and all of their fabulous accessories at any craft store.  SO the awesome Miss Angie and the fabulous Ricki Jill came up with this idea for a party!!  There will be prizes too!!

SUMMER SMASHING JOURNAL PARTY AND GIVEAWAY!

The actual Smash journal comes with pre decorated pages and a marker for writing with a glue stick on the other side.  Easy peasy memories!!  I m taking one with us on vacation so I can add my memories, like hotel brochures, hotel keys, coasters, cards from restaurants, ticket stubs, you get the idea!  Just whip out the pen/glue stick, glue it in, write about it!!!

(you don't actually have to have a "Smash" journal to play, any journal is welcome!)

OH MY HECK!!

Since the boys are off from school, I keep thinking every day is the weekend!  It always takes me a week or two to get back on track.  So today is Thursday and I am still linking up to What's On Your Work desk Wednesday.  I am late, but there are some awesome people there I still want to visit.  SO here is my desk!

I decided to show you the "holders" of things I have.  First, my spin holder.

It holds the things I want to get to in a hurry!

This is a jar of tools.  The one's I want to get to quick, but not worthy of my spinner thing.

On my work desk is:

Not much.  I have a pretty tidy desk.  My MP3 player, some tools, some Thickers, Tim Holtz pins, ribbon, a few markers, my badge and the card I made for my baby who turned 13 on Sunday!!

Here we are.  I was able to stop crying for a minute for the picture!  I am 5'6" and he is almost taller than me!  my bun gives me the advantage! LOL!!  He is just adorable and so handsome! and so teenager!!!  where does the time go????

A FEW THINGS.....

I have been so busy getting things ready for Small's birthday that I forgot Pink Saturday!  I have been adding a few last minute gifts and  wrapping everything.

No it isn't Christmas Wrapping paper.  What kind of mother do you think I am.  Oh. right, you know me too well.  YES it is!!!  But I don't think he will notice.  The ribbons don't looktoo Christmas- ish .  But the boxes under the paper say "Merry Christmas".  Hopefully he won't notice!

Here he is, the man of the hour...

Marshall!!!!!  aka small

I call him "Small" because "Large" is enormous.  But he is 5'5".  Not really that small.  This picture is before his band concert.  He is so handsome!!  And his curly hair makes the girls crazy! They actually touch his hair.  While we were there going in the school before the concert a group of hussies girls came running up to him and said "I just had to touch his hair".?????   Like he is a rock star.  Believe me, I'm sure he loved it, but he is the kid who does not want to be embarrassed!  So I have no worries, they are now NEVER going to get his attention.  He actually had much curlier hair and got it cut to get them away from him (if you can believe that, it is true)!

So this is a big deal!!!  My BABY is a TEENAGER.  Now I ask the questions every mom asks "how did this happen?"  "How could this be?"  "Just this morning he was in a crib!!!"

OK. *wiping tear away*  we have to move on, my computer is getting wet from all of this crying!!

The other thing that happened this week is:

Altered Arts Magazine has offered me a position on their design team!!!!!

I will be making art for the magazine!!

 Like a job!!!!!

I can't get over it!!

I am so excited!!

And I know what's inside because I got one too!  

The Cut-n-Dry foam is awesome.  You can cut it to apply inks or make your own stamps!  And the Rubit Scrubit is for use after you use the cleansit dauber on your rubber stamps.  And what stamp prize would be complete without ink!!  So some black Archival Ink will do very well I think!!

SO all I have to do is write your name on this box and mail it right out to you!!  I will ship internationally so everyone has a chance and all you have to do is leave me a comment!!!  As you may have noticed, I got rid of the followers on my sidebar because I am sick of blogger removing it, and replacing it with 200 less followers!  If you love me you will come back so I don't need you to prove it to me!  SO that is it.

Now, my work desk.  WHAT A MESS!!!  I was using a template to make a frame and I cut it out as you see on the bottom right.  I had to move my Tim Holtz mat first because I did cut it once already *sigh* and didn't want to do it again.

I am attempting to make a card.  But I didn't finish of course. *sigh again*.  Do you see my badge up on the shelf on the left-ish top?????  I am going to make sure it is in every WOYWW post!

PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday all!  Thank you Beverly for bringing us together every week to celebrate our love of pink!!

This week I made a project from Gabriela Delworth's book Flower and Leaf Press that I was lucky enough to win from her a few months back!!  The project from the book that I picked was a cross between the "Mini Wreath" which uses rose leaves and baby's breath, and the "Framed Wreath" which is bigger.  Because I pressed my rose leaves, petals (not used here) and baby's breath I made the "Mini Wreath" bigger!

I think I did a good job for my first time!  If you still see white, it is the clear drying tacky glue I used.  Sorry it didn't dry in time!  I also have to visit my Junque stores to find the perfect 8x8 frame.

This is a close up of the wreath.  So cute!!

Thank you Gabriela for such a fun and inspirational book!!  I hope you like it!
