Nothing special.  Just the beginning of "Clean out your stamp drawers" time.  This is like a half of a drawer, ugh.  I have A TON OF STAMPS!!  I may count them.  Just to see how many I really have.  What about stamp sheets?  Do they count as 1 or would I have to count them individually?  Forget it!!  I just have to clean it up.

I have no words.  I had multiple projects due, so I just kept piling stuff up!!  Thankfully, I can clean this up and take my time with the future projects.  Better time management is my new years resolution and so far, I may be messy, but I am using my time more efficiently!!!!

SO MUCH TO SAY!!!

As you know (because I've said it a million times) I have an actual job working for Altered Arts Magazine.  I make art and even get to write articles!!  So Altered Arts used to own a kit club called The Mailbox Muse.  I made the last inspiration book  for Altered Arts, that goes in the kit.  So when Altered Pages bought the kit club, the owner, Jean Moore, asked me to stay on with making samples for the idea book for the kit.  Of course I said yes!  BUT, she also owns a company called Altered Pages and she asked me if I wanted to work with her there too!!  I said yes!!!

In addition to having the Altered Pages store and site, there is also an Altered Pages Blog and they are having an awesome challenge now with great prizes!!

USED DRYER SHEET ARTICLE!!!

I have been reusing my dryer sheets for a very long time.  And lately, I'm noticing a trend in paper that reminds me of  used dryer sheets.  It is fiber paper, or thread paper, or even thin wire paper.  Paper where you see the fibers (or whatever) in the paper.  When I first saw it, I really wanted to get some, but it was super expensive!!!  So, I took my used dryer sheets and started experimenting.

First, I had to color my new "paper", so I used food coloring in water.  It took a few attempts to get the look I wanted, but that just gave me more dryer sheets to play with!!  Then, I ran the dyed sheets under cold water until the water ran clear and hung them up to dry.

So, it WAS my birthday......

Yes, I am wearing a tiara.  I wear it every year!!

It was my birthday ob Monday.  I'm 43 years old.  Not a "big" birthday, like 40 or 50.  Just a regular birthday.  But I felt like one of my kids!  It went on for like a week!  Awesome!!

First, my mother came to visit, which is nice.  We all went to dinner on Saturday night.  Then, we spent Sunday shopping and had a delicious lunch.  Monday was my actual birthday, so there was gifts and cake.  Wonderful birthday!  But, then my husband decides he is taking me to a very fancy dinner on Wednesday.  Why Wednesday you ask?  I have no idea, but I'm not going to pass up delicious food and wine!!

The point, it lasted so long that only now do I have 1 minute to blog!!!  I knew the end of my very long birthday was over because today I had to go to the doctor. ugh.  

Not too shabby for someone who turned 43, right???

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

I know it is the second of January, but if I wasn't late you would think an impostor wrote this!!!

I hope all of you had wonderful holidays, filled with blessings and joy!!!

Our holidays were wonderful.  I love it when my boys are home from school.  But, now they are back in school, the craziness of the holidays is over, and I can resume my "normal" life.  Get back into my regular routine. *snort*  If only my "routine" was regular!!!  Then, I wouldn't post stuff like "I'm so behind" or "I have so much to do" or "I don't know how I will get all of this done!!"

So this year, one of my resolutions is to have better time management.  Lets see how that goes.  At least I am going to make a conscious effort.  I will fall off of this wagon once a week I'm so sure!!  But I will get back on it!!  I need to make a habit of being time conscious.  I am already time conscious of time if I have an appointment to get to.  I also keep my car clock 5 minutes ahead so I'm never late.  But at home?  Not so much.  Too much temptation!!  Phone, TV, computer, couch, bed.  I could list another 40 distractions, but I don't want to give all my secrets up!!!
