CREATIVE TUESDAY!

YES!!  I finally got to play along with one of my favorite groups!!  Creative Tuesdays!!

The address has changed, so if you want to play along, click the link above.  The prompt this time was "Autumn/fall"  Mr. Toast, Creative Tuesday's very talented owner, wanted us to be specific to the theme.  In case we wanted to "sell" (*giggle* *snort* hiccup*  as if i ever would try to sell my sketches!!) or use as a seasonal card.  Now THAT'S a great idea!!  I have shrunk it and made a few cards from it already!!  Thanks for the idea Mmm!!!

So here is the fun part.  I got to play with my Copic markers!!  I haven't used them in like FOREVER!!  So I got to get fancy.  I used them to create a shadow across the front, and blend them for a strange fall leaf look.  I love coloring.

And the FUNNY (not fun) thing is that I attempted to make a real shadow, like from the light?  know what I mean?  Um.  the weird dark brown thing on the left side?  YES!   that bad banana looking thing.  I thought I would get all fancy and try this new thing that I've never done, and as I am not usually a drawing/sketching/painting type artist I figured it would be so EASY!!  Really Daniella?

It looked good when it was just a pencil, but then I tried to go monochromatic with the shadow color.  Black would not have been very festive.    And each color I tried only made it worse.  So then I tried to make it into a leaf.  ??????  What?  You never saw a leaf that shape before?  me either.

So there you can see, a pretty good picture with a weird thing, that I AM STILL SO PROUD OF that I made copies of it for cards!!  See?  Although I am horrified with the weird brown thing, I am proud enough to send it to others!!  Weird, right?

  11. You are funny Danielle! Can you believe I DID see leaves like that?! Or maybe they are a kind of 'beans' - they do lay in the park at the end of my street! Seriously... You must have been very near to me in your thoughts!

  15. Your pumpkin is beautiful and you should be very proud. I merely thought the "weird brown banana thing" was a seed pod laying in the pumpkin patch. LOL I don't even try to draw as it is not my thing at all. Happy Copic Coloring dear...

  16. Wonderful pumpkin...but ahhhhh the shadow IS looking a bit leafy! Either that or it was a very narrow beam of sunlight that caused the shadow. LOL You are too cute! xo Diana

  17. Well, so you should be, dear Daniella. Great job. I did have to laugh about the shadow as I must admit, I was not entirely sure what it was either at first. LOL. Never mind, it all came together well and love your lettering , the markers for the leaves, etc.

  20. Cool pumpkin - full of personality and I love the lettering - very creative with the leaves. The shadow is a little funky, and your explanation is a hoot but I love that we all experiment and keep on trying! It'll make a cool card and your friends and family will be thrilled to receive something hand made!
