WOYWW 203

Welcome to my work desk!   If you are confused by the letters in the title,  go visit the very awesome Julia's Blog.  She has all the details.

I am so busy I am almost certain my head is going to explode.  And because of "secret" projects I have to show you my little desk.
I have been working on a canvas for my living room.  It was a "Junque" store find.  It is a wood frame with a stretched canvas that had pretty acrylic paint flowers on it.  They were nice, but I have other ideas.  I am going to write words on it and hang in vertically instead of horizontally.  That is, if I ever have a moment to work on it.  The card on top was one I made from some mono-printed paper I made.

While working on the stuff on the other desk, I had to open up my tackle box of metal bits.  I thought you might like to see it too.

I have a wonderful key collection.  Some are Ranger, but the majority are mine.  A lot of ranger things, some Melissa Frances resin things, and bits from a kit of nails, screws, washers and such.  I even have some jewelry making things.  Everything but the kitchen sink!!! LOL!!

Thank you for your visit!  If you leave me a comment I promise to comment back.  I say this because a couple weeks ago I found several of your comments in my spam folder!!  I now check it daily.

Enjoy!!!

MIXED MEDIA PIECE

I really LOVE using "Gelatos" .  They are a wonderful, creamy, water soluble pigment stick that blends beautifully with or without water. There are so many other uses too.  You can apply some to a palate and add water and put it in a mister, or use it as water color paint.  I love scribbling with them and blending them with and without water,  They have a big selection of packs of Gelatos at the Altered Pages Store.  The packs come with 4 Gelatos, a paint brush and a stamp, Or the Gelatos with a brush and  dabber.  They are really well priced too!  Cheaper than the other shopping sites!

I started by using Mixed Media paper and adding some book paper, patterned paper and burlap to it.  I then used the Gelatos and just scribbled them all around the paper.

I blended the Gelatos with a sponge and with water.  I then used stamps and wrote my new favorite phrase.  A little spray on Gelato mix was added to the top.

Here, I stamped some flowers on patterned paper and painted them with water color I made with my Gelatos.

Next, I used punchinella as a stencil and rubbed white Gelato on a sponge.

And this is my finished piece.  I LOVE the colors I was able to get with the Gelatos!!  And, I also like to cut the piece apart into 3x5 inch pieces and use them as card backgrounds.  It is a very fun thing to do, no matter what you do with them or how you use them.  Just have fun!!  I did!

*I was not paid to endorse this product.  I just really love it*

WOYWW AND THE NEW ALTERED PAGES CHALLENGE

I almost didn't make it for WOYWW!  It is very late and I am very tired.  I have been in the car for 6 hours today.  It is just very hectic around here.  I feel like I say that every week!! UGH!

Here is my work desk.  Total mayhem, but this week I have a picture of what I made from the mess!
I told you!  Crazy, right.  BUT, here is the result!

Aren't they fun?  The challenge this month at Altered Pages Challenge Blog is Birds.  So I made Little Birdie Tassels.  I used the "Little Spring Birdies" collage sheet, some spools, Niji pearlesent watercolor paints and some music paper from an ephemera pack.  All from The Altered Pages Store.  I had some black silky cord that I cut and tied in a knot with the rope they are hanging from.  I'm going to put them in my kitchen window.  It isn't really spring here yet so these birdies will make be think they really have come back for the warm weather.
A close up of one of my tassels.

So, thanks for visiting me and enjoy the snooping!!

WOYWW

Hello Friends!  Welcome to another WOYWW!!  Don't know what I'm talking about?  Click the link to visit our fearless leader Julia, she'll tell you all about it.

SO, here is my desk.
You see my badge, some stamps, distress ink and stain.  Some crackle paint too.  I was loving the latest newest spray inks ( I won't say the name), until I found Splash Inks!  Click the link to visit the Altered Pages store and get some because they are amazing!!!  This paper was painted grey and I sprayed the old favorite on it.  It just like disappeared.  It looked great wet, then dried invisible.  I took one of my mini misters and added the proper amount of ink to make red and sprayed it on and THAT is red ink sploches (not a technical term, just my word for sprays in clumps).  So that was a happy part of my over busy day.  I love spray ink!!

Enjoy snooping!!
