PINK SATURDAY!!

Hello everyone!  I hope you have had an awesome week!  Did you get all of your shopping done?  I'm almost there!!  

I want to show off my "blue Christmas" house, but first, I have to say a few thank you's!!!

First, I have to thank Cindy Adkins for her gorgeous present!  You are so thoughtful Cindy!!

She is also giving away a fabulous workshop.  She has the best advice!!  Click the link and check it out, it is free!!!

Then, I got a sweet card from Dee Lapin who also included a precious pin she made!  It is a cross.  So thoughtful Dee thank you!!

And Sherry send me a beautiful card with another inside.  That was a few weeks ago!  I am so sorry Sherry!!  Thank you so much!!

Last, my friend Erica  sent me a wonderful card showing off her and her family.  Her daughter is adorable!

So there you go!  I am bad because I didn't have time to take pics!  Sorry!!

Now, we have to thank Beverly for hosting our party every week!!  

The theme is just Christmas, no matter what color!!  So here are some pics for you!

I had a bunch more, with me pointing out how ugly the air conditioner is up there!!!  I hate it, and I will think of something to hide it with eventually.  For now, pretend you can't see it!!! LOL!!

GUESS WHAT???!!!!

EEK!!!

I was going to go shopping on Saturday, and I stopped off to get the mail first.  And WHAT THE HECK!!  CHECK OUT WHAT WAS IN THE BOX!!!

That is right!  The bonus issue of Altered Arts Magazine!!

And who was in it?

ME!!  Page 38!!  "Christmas with Love Tag Book by Daniella Hayes!!!

I wrote notes in yellow on the picture of the Table of Contents!!

This is a picture of the picture that is the first page in my 4 page spread!!  I made this tag book, for Christmas last year.  Inside are tags, in little pockets.  The tags can be used for so many things, like place cards, or package tags, even bookmarks!! The whole book was hand made and decorated by me!!

This is the second page, with my title on top, and of course my name!!  And the materials and directions are there too.

BUT, if you want to see the rest, or learn how I did it, you are going to have to buy the magazine!!  I can't "kiss and tell"  LOL!!!

As you can see, I am as giddy as can be!  What a fabulous weekend pick me up!!

PINK SATURDAY AND THE WINNERS!!!

I made a Christmas drawer for Pink Saturday.  I got the idea from Lauren's blog My Wonderfully Made.

First, I know you have all seen this cabinet.  I have it in the hallway by the powder room.  It is such a lonely corner!!  Not a lot of traffic.  So that is why I picked this place to do my drawer.

Here is the drawer.  I put a gold Christmas tree I've had for ages, and a pine cone and silver ornament.  I added the red roses that I've had and my favorite ornament.  My mother made the red ornament in the 1960's and it is still just as pretty today as it was over 40 years ago!!

TAG A DAY PARTY LAST DAY!

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who visited my party this week.  You are all AWESOME!!!

This is the final tag.  I LOVE this one!!  The beautiful blue of winter, and that beautiful image of the vintage girl  in the snow by the tree!!!   That is from the Dezinaworld "Silver Christmas" sheet.

TAG A DAY CHRISTMAS PARTY DAY 4!

How are we doing  today?  I'm great!  I LOVE this tag!  

I started by doing the paper napkin technique.  I love the Christmas images on it.  Then, I layered gauze that I colored with inks.  Then flowers, a snap and a fabulous image from Dezinaworld.  It is from the Christmas Children sheet.  Aren't they so sweet!!

And of course, the matching ornaments!!

TAG A DAY CHRISTMAS PARTY DAY 3!

Welcome to day 3 everyone!!

This tag is so awesome, I think!  I started with a mask that I put on my tag, and I used brick red ink all over the tag. I then added all of the goodies!  Papers, lace, fibers and a ticket.  But that awesome Santa looking through the window is from a sheet called
"Victorian Santa's" from Dezinaworld.  Isn't he so sweet?  Looking through the window!  I love it!!

And the matching ornament!  I love this one!!

TAG A DAY PARTY DAY 2!!

Hi everyone!!

Thanks for coming to my party!!

You were soooOOOOO nice on yesterday's post!  I was so honored with all of your compliments!  It made me feel really bad about telling you about my insecurity.  I am so sorry about that ~~  you are all FABULOUS!!

The tag I have for you today is using the Christmas Angels image from Dezinaworld.  I also used the word "Dream" from the word search sheet.  This tag has lace, flowers, paper, a metal embellishment, ribbons and a bell!!

And here is it's matching ornament!  I try to use papers that match the tag.  And always pearls for the hanger!

This is the view from the top so you can see how it's made.  It is all folded paper, which makes a round shape.

PARTY DAY 1!!!!!

Hi!  And thanks for visiting my "Tag-a-Day Christmas" Party!!!  I will be giving away a tag every day this week, and a paper ornament (or 2).  When my awesome friend Cindy Adkins talked to me about this idea, I was confused.  People visiting my blog and me sending them stuff I made?  Do you think people like my work enough to want it?  Really?  Believe it or not it never occurred to me!!  I mean, I know you like me and my blog, but to want a piece of my work???  So I was so excited about this, and I got to work!! Cindy even made my button for me.  If you would put it on your sidebar, I would be so honored!!!  And if you don't know Cindy, please go check her out.  She is so talented in so many ways, and she has a free course offered under her header on her blog.!!

Here is today's tag.  It is about 6x4ish.  I painted it with Twinkling H2O's first and used the napkin transfer technique to get frosty on it.  I added some tiny cotton balls, a piece of sheet music from The Graphics Fairy, just a little bit.  Then I used some of Dezinaworld's images from a sheet called "word search".  It has tons of words that fit the holidays!   Awesome!!!!

 Then, I made 2 little ornaments to go along with it.  I tried to match the colors, so it would be a set!

NOW, THE PARTY PART!!

I am having a "Tag a Day" party next week!!  December 5-9.  

I will put up a tag and an ornament every day next week.  Next Pink Saturday I will announce the winners!  The tags and ornaments I show every day will be given to one lucky winner each day.  I am thinking about having a grand prize too.  Please take by button, and visit me every day!!  I think it will be so fun!  What a fun way to spread Christmas Cheer!

Here is an example of the tags and ornaments I will send you.  The tags are oversized, 6x3.5 inches.  And the paper ornaments are just too cute!!

My extra large tag features a beautiful  Santa, on top of an inked tag, paper, stamps, and inked gauze.   I made a rolled flower from book paper for the bottom.  The Santa and the star are both from the "Pink Santa" sheet from Dezinaworld.  All of my tags will feature images from Dezinaworld's sheets. If you haven't checked them out yet please do!!

This is my little paper ornaments that go along with the tag!  This one has a pearl top so you can hang it!
