CREATIVE TUESDAY

It is soooo good to be back with the awesome Creative Tuesday!!  I have missed just being able to create with this co-op group!!  Everyone there is awesome  and amazing artists.  Be sure to check them out!

Our theme was "BUBBLEGUM".

I made this gumball machine.  I am not known for my drawing!!  But I just had to "free hand" the base, and I used a penny to trace the circles for the gumballs.  I'm thinking I am such a genius!!!  Then, I colored it in with my pencils.  Sweet!  BUT, then I took it too far.

Do you ever create something and you just can't leave well enough alone?  That happened with this piece.  It was all outlined with colored pencils, and it looked great.  But I then said "why not outline it in marker?".  It might not look that bad from the view above, but if you enlarge it by clicking, you will see how I went off the lines with the marker, and how I think I forgot a few, and......

I should have left it alone!!

Have a fabulous day!!!

  4. How whimsical pink bubblegum is. It's fun to experiment with creativity. Boy, have I gone down some interesting art project rabbit holes. Sometimes its a place I couldn't have imagined at the onset. Sometimes it just a lesson for the next time! Keep it up.. Happy New Year!

  5. Looks great Daniella, we are our own harshest critics aren't we! I do know what you mean though, I sometimes do to much and wish I could back it up a step.

  7. I think its wonderful and so creative to use the penny too! Isn't it true, as artists we never know when to stop and some times we go just too far, not with this though its just great!

  10. Daniella,
I have always loved GUMBALL MACHINES! I used to have a small one, but gave it away. This drawing looks great just the way it is.

  14. I have same problem. some things you just can't leave it alone.

the maker lines are not so bad. I would have finish the rest with the marker.

  15. A perfectly fine gum ball machine. I can see the balls jostling as the handle has been turned :)

  16. Its a dandy gumball machine ! A wise person once told me never point out what didnt work as others probably didn't see it and if they did, they probably thought it was part of the design and meant to be like that. :D

  18. Actually, Daniella, I disagree--I am glad you worked on it more adn love the fact you go off th elines some. It adds unexpected element to it. Adn you know what? I did the same thing! I wishe dI ahd not used pen but rthere you go. Also I totally had to push it adn coudl not leave it alone. Initially I jsut had the princess girl adn the frog adn bullbe then had to add backgroudn. I'm glad I did too but it took ages., lol

Anyway, I was thinking of some of your previous entries ("zentangles") when I came up with the next them. I think you will love it. SO GLAD to have you back here too btw. TY so mich.
