PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday!!  Hope you've all had a wonderful week!  Please remember to visit our awesome host Beverly's blog!

Last week, my husband brought me home these beautiful roses!  2 doze  for no reason.  I love it when he does things like that.  And they are such a beautiful pink color too!!

I am going to save a bunch of the petals to use in my flower press that I won from Gabriela Delworth a while ago, with her book.  I will see what awesomeness I can make with them.

Have a fabulous weekend.  We are expecting snow tonight.  Not that I love snow, but it has only snowed here once, and in October. That is unusual, but what is even more unusual is that we haven't had any since!!  It makes me afraid it is going to snow every day for a month soon!

Stay warm!

  21. Your husband is indeed thoughtful! We are in the same position about the snow... We had one day in November and one day last week. That's IT and totally not normal for Eastern Oregon! We've been having crazy ice storms for the past few days and the roads in and out of town have been closed several times in the last few days. In fact, the entire Interstate was shut down last night! Hopefully we'll get SOME snow before Spring comes along!

  29. Those are pretty! Ok the floral designer has popped out....don't wait too long to pull the petals from those roses and they may dry a darker shade of beige and purple. Remember to recut the stems everyday under a water in a sink, not running water..that'll force air into the stems causing an air bubble and they're heads will fall over from no don't need to cut but a 1/2 in. If they do get bent neck just fill a tub with water, recut the stems in that water and let em float a while..they'll get sturgid again and stand straight. Oh and don't use a penny in the water..doesn't do a thing and no aspirin, they don't get headaches,,,use the flower preservative like Floralife. Has a sucrose to food..biocide to kill bacteria, and a hydrative that makes water wetter and the easier for the flower to uptake water. And, you don't have to use the whole packet a few pinches in the water is plenty or your flowers won't open.
Ok no that I've done my floral announcement comeon over and check out a new party at Etsy Cottage Style on my Bloglist, if ya got the time.
