Hello WOYWWers!! Thank you so much for visiting my desk!! Want to know what WOYWW is? Just go to it's inventor's blog, the fabulous Julia and read all about it.
My desk is CLEAN today!! This picture is as clean as it gets for me!!
(my WOYWW badge is flat on the shelf. Bad Daniella!!)
This is a close up of the transparencies I'm thinking of working on next. While I was away I went to a craft faire and a company named "PK Press" had these in a random bag for $5. They looked interesting enough to get me to buy them. There is a frame I may use on a card, and the pictures I was thinking of using stickles on them on the back. Not sure, any ideas???
And that's it!! Tomorrow, I will be showing my vacation "Smash" book at the "Summer Smash Party" in case you wanted to peek at that too!!
I always answer all of my comments and I thank you so much for leaving them!! I then try so hard to see as many of you as possible!! The party is getting bigger, and bigger every week!!
I use transparencies a lot in my altered books. Sometimes I use them as is, and sometimes I make transfers out of them. I print my own, though, so I have no idea how to use one that might be from a toner copier or printer. Good luck with yours. I wish I had a good answer for you. Happy WOYWW from #2.
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks pretty clean and clear to me. I think those transparencies are awesome. Isn't that snowman cute, too? I have NO idea what to do with them...but you know that!
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well, Daniella- I suppose the kids are back in school and you have a bit of alone time now. Blessigs- xo Diana
The transparencies are great. I would color in the background with alcohol inks if you have some. dani #18
ReplyDeleteI like Dani's idea of the alcohol inks!
ReplyDeleteThe snowman is my fave!
Lovely collection of transparencies ... good ideas on how to use them in projects will definitely come from woyww.

The snowman gets my vote too! Transparencies are difficult for me to figure out what to do with them, but I still love them.

Oh my is that a snowman Daniella? I'm not sure I'm ready for that just yet!
ReplyDeleteRemember I'm waiting for spring here ;D
Your desk does look so tidy...but I'm afraid I can't help with your question because I've never used transparencies.

Hi Daniella..what a fab space and I love the transparencies. TFS annie x
ReplyDeleteLove the transparencies, hope to see what you do.... have a good week. Helen 20
ReplyDeleteHi Daniella, great transparencies, love the butterfly. I think maybe alcohol inks on the back, or foiling would be very nice. For the snowman I would put snow white glitter card behind him so he could sparkle. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #82
ReplyDeleteHey Daniella,
ReplyDeleteGive the transperancies a go with Alcohol inks you will be amazed at how well they turn out. Another method is Alcohol inks with a little floor polish called One Go you just add a few drops of it to the ink and smear it on the back and wait for it to dry.
Happy Crafting

These are nice Daniella, the sort of thing I would buy. And then look at for a very very long time. So I'm not in a position to offer any ides, but will enjoy your outcomes!
ReplyDeleteGreat space and lots of creativity going on there, loving the transparencies. Thank you for sharing your space.

Cant wait to see what you create ... I remember my son painting film transparencies from the back in layers, backwards, iyswim, when he was at school and spent two weeks at a studio which hand coloured for TV cartoon adverts.xx #86
ReplyDeleteOh they look interesting, the possibilities are huge so I shall pop back and see what you do with them! Take care Zo xx 109
ReplyDeleteHi Danielle what fab transparencies. You reminded me I bought a couple of 12 by 12 ones long ago - now I wonder where they got too! I have seen them glittered, painted on with acrylics, guilded - pro markers would work too I think.....oh and tissue paper and glue. Have fun whatever you decide! Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 5
ReplyDeleteIt always nice to be tidy at least once. Love the butterflies they look great. Francesca #96
ReplyDeleteThose transparencies are awesome! Have fun figuring out how to use them!

Love your transparencies!
ReplyDeleteSo, you have a desk... love it! Messy or not, cause I don't have a craft desk. I am just starting to make tags and other altered things all on a tight budget cause I am now jobless.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
I look forward to visiting you again for inspiration.
take care!
Those transparencies look so interesting! I have used Stickles on the back and loved the results. I have also coloured then with my Copics.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

Great transparencies you acquired. My first thought is to color the backs with Alcohol Inks (not sure if they eat the film though). I just know the colors would be fabulous on the butterflies. Happy Creating Dear...
ReplyDeleteDaniella,
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a sweet comment on my blog a while ago -- so very much appreciated. :)
The transparencies look great -- I am looking forward to seeing for which projects you will end up using them.
Of course, I would love to welcome you back to my blog. Currently, I even have two giveaways -- details are on the sidebar of my blog.
Sunny greetings from Munich,
Birgit
Great looking desk! I thought you had stamped the images on a desk blotter like I do. I tried stamping transparencies and it works well if you are careful with technique. You can color them with copics and they look nice on cards. I just never used them and couldn't figure out what to do with them so I am no help! Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #114
ReplyDeleteI love the look of glittered transparencies. I've not seen it done with glitter glue but I have seen it done with a thin coat of clearing drying glue and loose glitter. I've heard you can color on the back of them with transparency markers and that gives a neat look. I wonder if Sharpies or other permanent markers would work too. Anyway, I LOVE surprise goodie bags. They are always such fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely find on the transparencies!
