HELLO and welcome to another WOYWW! Just click the link if you don't know what I am talking about. It is the best party ever!!
The first pic I want to share is my finished pumpkin!!
Last week I showed you this pumpkin in progress. I finished it today, and I don't think I am happy with it. It seems like something is missing. Any ideas would be lovely! I got the pumpkin last year, off season, with a coupon so it was like $2. The flowers and beads are from the "Dollar" store. So it was only $3!! For $3 it is a fine white pumpkin, but I want it to look like a $1,000 pumpkin!
And here is my desk
Very messy just like I like it! Stamps, gesso, a TH book, my phone and some new goodies I got. I love Dylusions spray ink, so I had to have more. I own 6, now I own 9! I also got the Alcohol ink pen I've been wanting. I first saw this pen on Eliza's blog during a WOYWW party and I had to email her and ask her all about it! She was so nice and answered my questions! I can't wait to use it!! Thanks Eliza!!
And, of course, my badge was placed on top of my new supplies.
Last, I want to share with you this lovely tag you may see on my desk. It is a sweet surprise from my dear friend Sherry. I love the creepy feeling skeleton! And Sherry did a whole post on using the fake fingernails on her project. Check out her blog to see it, it is awesome!!
Now go and desk hop!! Have an awesome time!!
Your pumpkin is fab...love the colours.
ReplyDeleteCould it maybe use some droopy sort of branches...like grapevine or??? The the arrangement would sort of arch out more to the sides. Or...
What about some more of those jewelled branches...could you put maybe 5 of those in sort of arching out?
Or you could stay with the more upright look you have going now and maybe add a couple of pieces of Indian corn with the husks pulled back...
That's it...I'm all out of idea.
Of course you could just leave it as is too...It looks lovely!
Oh wow, Daniella, I think your pumpkin looks great! Humm...I've seen these little mini Indian corns. Maybe you could tie 3 of those to the front where the berries, etc. are...or some bare branches from your yard stuck here and there? What a deal you got, though!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
fabulous, i love your tag and the pumpkin! Perhaps higher and coming down longer...? What do I know, never put flowers/leaves in a pumpkin before! Just read above...droopy branches...is just what's in my mind too! IN threes and/or fives...Love the colours too!! Have a crafty week! Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteGreetings, Gerrina
My daughter thinks the pumpkin needs a face, I think it needs some ivy drooping from it the arrangement is to high. I don't want to be to negative about it. I love the colours you have used too. It also needs things at the front giving it more of a display area.
ReplyDeleteNow have fun with the alcohol ink pen, I laughed so much when I read about your comments and me...... LOL
Happy WOYWW

great looking desk with all that new loot on it to play with! Wish I lived closer I would come over and play! Great looking pumpkin. I need to take a picture of the one I made and post it...maybe next week. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #91
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin. If you feel it needs more then I think it would be something on the bottom, maybe a wreath to sit it in? Or maybe a smidge of colour coming up from the bottom along the lines? It is beautiful though and the colours are fantastic.

Gorgeous pumpkin...I too feel like it needs a little something more. Maybe something more drooping out and cascading down across the sides? It is going to be wonderful and can't wait to see how you finish it!

What a great desk to nose around ...so much to look at. As for the pumpkin ...its brilliant ...the only thing I would do .... before I was tempted to add anything ... would be to stand it on an autumnal coloured mat rather than white, as I dont think it needs any additions. xx#79
ReplyDeleteWhat a desk today! Love your beautiful white pumpkin too!

You did a fab job on your pumpkin. All for $3. Almost makes me want to do home decorating...almost. New goodies are so much fun. But you should have let us in on the great alcohol ink pen information. (insert pleading smiley face).

ReplyDeleteI finally found you, I have had more blogging problems but we finally solved them, I had to start another blog though and i had to rejoin all my favorites, I lost my google account and everything, I have missed so many of your posts that I will have to play catch up, I have missed you!
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin turned out gorgeous, Daniella!

The pumpkin is gorgeous and would look so lovely as a Thanksgiving centerpiece! Maybe it's missing a sparkly monogrammed letter H? Either done in glitter or rhinestone thingies, would give it that little something extra maybe? With swirls around it...if you google "fancy swirly monograms" you'll get lots of images and maybe something will appeal to you. :) On another note, I'm so going to copy this! lol We usually do T-day at my moms and she doesn't seem to have a decorating bone in her whole body but this year I'm thinking we'll have a spectacular centerpiece, thanks to your inspiration! Your desk looks fab, perfectly appropriate for creating like crazy! :)
