PINK BUTTERFLY!!

Hello everyone!!  Welcome to Beverly's Pink Saturday Party!!!!

This week, I am showing off my pink butterfly!

This butterfly is for The Butterfly Effect Project at Two Dresses Studio. 

This is a project, to make butterflies to send to the Holocaust Museum in Houston Texas USA.  Their mission is as follows, from Two Dresses Studios blog:

"The Holocaust Museum Houston is dedicated to educating people about the Holocaust, remembering the 6 million Jews and other innocent victims and honoring the survivors' legacy"

"The Butterfly Project mandate is   to remember the 1,500,000 innocent children who perished as a result of the Holocaust  by collecting 1.5 million handmade butterflies. 

 In Spring 2013, these butterflies will then become a break-taking exhibition to serve as a memory of this event."

I just had to participate!!  and I made this butterfly to send out right away.  The rest of the story of this cause is on the Two Dresses Studio blog, Please visit them and see just how touching this project is.  I'm sure you will want to make a butterfly too!  My butterfly will be among a million butterflies in this museum.  It is my pleasure to create something for this cause.

PRIZES!!!

What a month June is!  With the boys finishing school, it is crazy!  Finals, different bus schedules, half days for large, and field trips, half days, band concerts, graduation from grade school for small, it is something every day!!

Last week was the last days.  I have hardly done anything because of this madness!!  But today I received the best happy mail ever!!!!

Fist, I went to the post office and saw a card in my post office box.  That means there is a package!!!!

Not one, but 2 packages!!!

I opened the small one first.  It was from Cindy Adkins!! 

What a wonderful little journal book!!  I am going to use it to put one positive thing that happened in my day, every day in it!!

A little card, with wonderful sweet words on the back!!  Doesn't it look like the hand with the rose on my blog???

Next, came the big box!!  A few weeks ago, I won some fabulous art supplies from Dawn!!! I knew I won, but not like this!!

This was a mixed media artists dream!!!  There was paper (some of it looks hand made!), wall paper samples, advertisements, calender pages, and it goes on and on!!  Then, there was10 rubber stamps, mini and regular size tags, tickets, small envelopes, coasters, art prints, board books and 2 more small books and a card and 2 ATC's!  There is tons more to say, but I have to stop!

GIVEAWAY!!!

I have seen so many blogs have been having problems last week.  I have had issues too.  But my LEAST favorite thing has been my "followers" (or friends as I call them).  I had more than 179, and it went down.  I saw several people say this too.  Or someone said that they asked people why they stopped following them.  All blogger issues.

So, I was going to have a giveaway when I hit 200 followers, but blogger doesn't want to get there.  I think it is very mean of blogger, and I don't think you should all have to suffer because of this!!!

I will be having a giveaway and fun news coming before the end of the week.  And it is a very exciting giveaway too!!  My first one was for 100 followers, and Debbie hooked me up with a fabulous etsy store owner Erin of Peony Wireworks for that giveaway.  So, I am having another etsy store owner for this giveaway!!!  YOU WILL LOVE HER!!!  Some of you probably know her!!  It will be awesome!!

PINK SATURDAY!!

I am running soooo behind today!!  Don't you just hate days like that???

But, I am happy to say,  I am still on time for Beverly's Pink Saturday!!!!  I am so excited for this party!!  I FINALLY found a cloche!!!  I did!!  I got so much great advice on where to find one, but I am in a very rural location, and I do get to our shopping place, but not as often as I'd like.  It is a long ride, and when I go I have a big list of things to do, and places to go, and I always forget to look for one!!!

Luckily, my friend Cindy Adkins, has an awesome etsy shoppe, and I got one there.  Delivered right to my door.  Perfect!!

I put pink rose petals inside, and pink sheer wire ribbon and my tissue taped stars, with pink spray ink.

And this gorgeous piece came with my cloche!!  Cindy sent me this beautiful piece, made on a hard covered book base.  I love the travel theme.  I guess this is my cloche's story!!  The story of it's travels!!

STEAMPUNK!!!

It is so good to be back!!  UGH!  It was horrible having no Internet for so long!!

I am having a love affair lately with Steampunk.  I have been mentioning it for a while, and while I had the time due to this Internet thing, I decided to get busy.

I have a tray started, and some ATC's and tags.  But today, I want to show you this mini album I made.  It is not your typical folded album.  It uses this really cool paper folding technique, so you actually have a front and back cover and pages inside.  I loved making it!!
