Hello and welcome to another WOYWW. The party where we get to peek at other people's work spaces. I love to peek!!
First, thank you so much again for your lovely messages, emails and comments worrying about us during this hurricane. It has been a difficult time, and many are still suffering, but we are getting back to ''normal''.
While we had no power, I had time to clean up my studio!! I finished my pumpkin, and thank you for all of your ideas and comments. I think the most mentioned thing in the comments was that it was very vertical, and needed something on the sides. using natural things was suggested, but since we were in a hurricane, and now we are supposed to get snow tomorrow (ugh), I went with ribbon.
I also removed some of the leaves from the top, and showed off more of the flowers and beads. I also added ribbon to the top. I am putting it on the table tomorrow. End of story. I've spent far more time on this pumpkin than I wanted to, so it is finished!! I hope you think it looks better!
when I was at that convention this summer, I saw this little Christmas flower kit for 50 cents. I will buy anything for 50 cents. so I started making them today. this is what is on my desk, along with my badge!!
Have fun peeking!

The pumpkin is awesome looking and will really look great as a centerpiece. You rocked that. Sorry to hear about the impending four-lettered word. That stuff is far too cold for me. I agree I'm a sucker for 50-cents too. But I tend to stash as opposed to actually use (but I'm getting better) so I'm proud of your for breaking it out and getting to it.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I'm one of the ones that suggested the change...and I LOVE it now...It is just right! It is going to look so good on your table.
ReplyDeleteCute 50 cent flower kit... I am a bargain hunter so probably would not have walked by those either!
The pumpkin is beautiful with that ribbon cascading like that. I wish I knew how to hand cut nice flower petals...#94
ReplyDeletewell I finally found you again, that Christmas flower thingy is really nice, I bet you;ll put that to a hole lot of good uses,
ReplyDeleteHey Daniella, the pumpkin looks fab! And I see you are making rosette's...have you watched my video on an easy way to make them? It's a tip I'm always excited to share with rosette makers...because it made them so much easier for me. No more getting burned by hot glue! :) Anyways, if you want to check it out there is a link on my blog on the Tutorials 4 U page, right at the top of the post. Thanks for dropping by and leaving me a comment, I'm glad you have electricity again! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Daniella,
ReplyDeleteOh, I had no idea you are from New Jersey. I'm so glad that you and your family are safe. Bless everyone on the East Coast that has to deal with this disaster.
Your pumpkin looks perfect! What a beautiful fall centerpiece!
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear you're all doing OK Daniella, it must have been a very scary time for you all, such devastation, and now snow as well! Love your pumpkin though, the ribbon is a fantastic addition. I guess the cheesy sign "Keep calm and craft on" really worked for you!!
