...went by and I am finally blogging again!!
I was in bed for 3 days. Then on the couch for another 2. Coughing, running head, exhausted and that general all around yucky feeling. And my 3 men were so wonderful and took such good care of me!! They are awesome!!
They even bought me flowers.
That being said, I was so glad to feel better and get back to my life this week. I thought the men would all go to school and work and I could catch up on the 238 emails I had. But when I got up on a wonderful sunny Monday, I was stopped dead in my tracks.
My house.
My pretty little house.
OH MY HECK MY HOUSE!!!!
The men did "clean", if you could call it that.
They did a little wash (like 3 of 78 loads).
They did the dishes (if you don't mind having a bit of yuck in your cup).
They swept the floor (but not under the furniture).
They tried really hard I'm sure.
But I had to fix all of it!
Wash the surfaces, counters and tables. Get all of the junk off the tables. Every surface in the dining/family room was filled with books, markers, water bottles, electronics, on and on. I had to do the other 75 loads of wash. Re-wash the dishes they didn't rinse before putting in the dishwasher. Wash the floors. The list is endless. And I will not, can not, even tell you about the bathroom, ugh.
They even spilled things in the refrigerator! Was nothing sacred???
Maybe I am a bit OCD about things, but for me, no one can clean my house the way I can. And because of that I couldn't rest until it was fixed.
So yes, now that I spent all of the last 2 days getting things back in order, I can now visit all of you, and answer your emails, and do the things I love doing because cleaning isn't one of them.
You are all awesome! Thank you for all of your well wishes!!! I will be at your blog soon!!
Oh you poor thing... I hope the energy didn't leak out of you while housecleaning - it IS a nasty job, isn't it. I hate it too! Oh, and yes, YOU are the Danielle I would visit when I grow wings... but we would sit down and have coffee/tea/wine/sigarets and create, NOT clean! Ha! If only...
ReplyDeleteOh its so good to hear you are well again my lovely friend. I know just what you mean about men and their ' housekeeping' hehe.
ReplyDeleteThe roses are lovely though :)

ReplyDeleteHi Daniella,
ReplyDeleteisn't wonderful to have three caring men in your home to help when you are down? Even tho they don't quite do it the way you do, what a blessing that they tried.
My hubby is the same way, it's all good isn't it?
Glad to hear you are back on your feet now and doing what you love.
The white roses are just beautiful. I am so happy you stopped by this morning and hope to see you again very soon.
Have a Happy Easter,
Char
What a relief to hear you are feeling so much better. I cannot even imagine any male species doing laundry or house cleaning so I can imagine the workload you have caught up on. Fresh and clean and feeling better it is good to have you back to blogging and being creative. Blissful Bunny Hugs...
