SIN CITY STAMPS ART JOURNAL

Hello everyone!!  Today I want to show you how I used Sin City Stamps in my art journal.  I have been following along with Terri Sproul's Art Journal Group on Facebook.  Click the link to join us!!

This week. Terri showed us texture and a mistake on her live feed on Youtube.  Because of that good mistake, she used good mistake quote.

I started with my favorite journal, the old encyclopedia.
I used Gesso to prime the pages....

Then I used my Gelatos in yellow, gold and pink.  After I used water and a paint brush to blend them I....

Used my Splash Inks of course!  I love to use them in spray bottles!  In fact....

I keep them mixed and ready to go on my desk!  Right in between my Hello Kitty stapler and Hello Kitty head that has markers inside.

Where was I?  OH YES!  My art journal page!  I don't have any texture paste (it's in the mail) so I had to think of something.  Then I had a brilliant idea!  What about gesso?

I laid down thick areas of gesso on my pages.  First, I used my "Love of Butterflies" set to put the butterflies in the upper corners.  Then, I used my Art Journaling with Terri Sproul stamps, and used the numbers, flowers and diamonds. I inked my stamps with Stewart Superior pigment Ink in "Regal Burgundy".  I pushed them into the partially dry gesso and got that tactile texture!  And I love how the ink stayed on the gesso even though it was still a little wet!

When the gesso was dry I put some yellow Gelato on it.  Then I used the brick stamp from Art Journaling with Terri Sproul 2 on parts of the pages to give it visual texture too.  My quote is "Remind yourself that it's OK to NOT be perfect".  I think I need to remember that more often!

Thanks for visiting and don't forget Sin City has  a scratch off coupon for up to 40% off!
Have an awesome day!!
